Running While Pregnant

SEE COMMENTS FOR UPDATE:

Now that i am 7 Mos. pregnant, it makes me really appreciate the days when I was not. That is, at least when it comes to running. I spoke with another runner at the club who told me that she went into labor, immediately went for a three mile run and then proceeded to go to the hospital to deliver her baby. Though I ran/ walked a full marathon 6 weeks ago, now I can barley complete a 1 mile run without getting cramps.

I cant wait till I like running again! I promise I will never take it for granted again, or at least untill it's about 5 weeks before my next marathon.

See you in Vegas Baby!!!!!

UPDATE: With just 4 "short" weeks to go. Running is simply impossible for me. If it's not the extra 25lbs that I have on my body its the severe shortness of breath. I can do the stairmaster on level one and have a heart rate of 155bpm one day and 120bpm the next day. My vitals are simply unpredictable. Here's to hoping everything will be back to "normal" soon.

FINALLY:
just wanted to update you all and let you know that Nolan Colt Derouin Was born on June 2nd at 12:23pm. He was 8lbs 4oz, 21.5 inches and has a full head of thick black hair. he is so sweet, he already lifts his own head up and always has his eyes open. Did not use epidural but wished that i could have, it was hard...

POST BABY RUNNING:

Since having the baby I was unable to be active for 3 weeks (was supposed to be 6 weeks) I was able to train for this marathon for 12 weeks. Upon downloading my watch I realized that it had been 16 weeks total including the time I had been off running post-baby. When i started running again, I could barely make it half a mile without stopping. I had to start all over...It was a great reminder to me of how things feel for new runners. I can say now that I have been first (High school 800yard dash) and last (well there was 9 runners behind me) runner to cross the finish line.
